Abstract

Flat-surfaced radial gradient index lenses, also called Wood lenses [1] or rod lenses have found widespread use as elements in imaging arrays for photocopiers and fax machines.[2] However, there exist very few designs for more complex multi­element lenses which utilize Wood lenses.
