All Refractive Telescope for Next Generation Inter Satellite Communication

Abstract

At present optical inter satellite communication systems are under design and construction and are planned to be launched in 1993. They are based on 30mW laser diodes, the maximum available today for long lifetime single mode operation. This requires a 250 mm transmit / receive telescope, usually of reflecting type.
