Nonlinear optical frequency mixing in dye vapors

Abstract

We review our theoretical and experimental studies of the nonlinear optical properties of complex organic molecules with double conjugated bonds. The experiments with UV and VUV generation have shown a number of advantages offered by the new kind of nonlinear optical gaseous media.
