Abstract
Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) is finding increasing application as a tool for measuring temperature and species concentrations in gases. When modeling experimental spectra, the effects of the spectral and temporal properties of the laser sources must be included to obtain quantitative results. Previous theories assumed fluctuating laser fields with Gaussian statistics or treated nonresonant CARS intensities only.
