Abstract

A design for an inexpensive integrating sphere for use as a uniform source of illumination in the visible spectrum is presented. The design was realized and the fabrication process is outlined, detailing important considerations for assuring uniformity. The performance of the completed sphere is given as a measure of the uniformity of the radiance at the exit port.
