Abstract

We describe the design of an optical head that prints digital half-tone images with multimode diode lasers. The system combines the near-field images of four lasers to form a unique pel pattern that provides very high quality images. Even with the 8:1 anamorphism required, telecentricity is maintained in both meridians.
