Abstract

Many improvements have been made in LightPath’s products since the public offering. The manufacturability of the initial GSF glasses has been improved, thus improving repeatability and mechanical properties. We have demonstrated the ability to make a profile to match the prescription rather than adapt an existing profile to a design (although making a custom profile must be justified by volume). We continue to improve our modeling of the profiles to make theory and reality coincide. For example, in early 1997, profile release 97-2 provided statistically based profile definitions of standard profiles.
