Description of Spherical Aberration and Coma of a Microlens Using Vector Diffraction Theory

Abstract

Light distributions of a plane wave refracted by a microlens are calculated using Kirchhoff vector diffraction theory. Numerical results for beam profiles and the onset and effects of spherical aberration and coma will be presented.
