The Effect of Selective Assembly on Tolerance Desensitization

Abstract

Cost reduction and increased as-built performance can be achieved through both tolerance desensitization and use of compensators. We investigate how desensitization of selected parameters can further relax tolerances while using selective assembly as a compensator.
