Lamp Spectrum Modification by the Use of Lens Aberration

Abstract

A cylindrical lens system with chromatic aberration focused ultraviolet and infrared rays at a point where visible rays are defocused. A uniform spectral intensity was attained by collecting a xenon lamp emission at this point.
