Abstract

This new type of very fast (F/0.95) camera is fully achromatic and made of only 3 components: a mirror and 2 fused silica lenses. The 2 lenses are glued together. The camera offers better image quality than classical Schmidt or equivalent and is much smaller and lighter. This camera was developed for the MOONS spectrograph.
