Analysis of Signal-to-Noise Ratio in Reconfigurable Feed-Forward Optical Delay-lines

Abstract

We analyze the performance of a feed-forward reconfigurable optical delay line by simulating the signal-to-noise ratio for various optical switch extinction ratios. A method to improve the signal-to-noise ratio is suggested.
