Abstract

A novel refractive index (RI) sensor based on microfiber Fabry-Perot interferometer (MFPI) is proposed. Fabricated by drawing a uniform fiber Bragg grating (FBG) at its central point, the MFPI shows a RI sensitivity of 220.1nm/RIU.
