Four-port Nanophotonic Couplers for Glass Integrated Optics*

Abstract

Four-port nanophotonic couplers based on a principle of frustrated total internal reflection are proposed in a glass substrate. The power output from each port as a function of trench width is analyzed by the finite difference time domain method.
