Standing-Wave Model Based on Modes of Cold Cavity for Simulation of Laser Diodes

Abstract

A standing-wave model based on mode expansion of “cold” cavities is proposed and presented for simulation of laser diodes. The model is validated against the well-established traveling-wave model and shown to be more efficient.
