Optical Regeneration in a Silicon Waveguide

Abstract

We demonstrate optical regeneration by nonlinear spectral broadening in a silicon nanowaveguide followed by spectral filtering in a ring resonator. Power transfer function of the device is measured showing 6-W operating peak power.
