Design and Analysis of Metal Slab Waveguide Reflector for Substrate Removed Nanowire Waveguides

Abstract

Metal slab waveguide reflectors for nanowire waveguides are designed and simulated. The reflection coefficient can be controlled by adjusting the gap and length of the reflector. Reflection coefficients higher than metal coated facets are possible.
