Hybrid-integrated tunable laser using polymer microring-resonator-based add-drop filter and reflective SOA

Abstract

We proposed a novel tunable laser hybrid-integrated with a polymer add-drop filter (ADF) reflector. The reflector is composed of a double ring ADF and a loop-back mirror. The tunable laser exhibited SMSR of 26 dB, FWHM of 0.03 nm, and tuning range of about 17 nm.
