Selectively Patterned Notch Filter Waveguides for Optofluidic Biosensors

Abstract

An integrated filter utilizing liftoff-based selective patterning is designed, fabricated, and demonstrated. The waveguide acts as a notch filter in the collection path of an optofluidic device and exhibits Δλ~1.4nm and ~22dB rejection over 18mm.
