New velocity-matched III–V traveling-wave electro-optic modulator structure

Abstract

A new velocity-matched III–V traveling-wave structure for electro­optic modulator application has been developed. The structure is modeled using the spectral domain analysis (SDA) method.1,2 The microwave properties of the new structure are characterized to 26.5 GHz.
