Abstract

In recent years experimental and theoretical research on the frequency converter utilizing second-order nonlinear interactions between light waves in an optical waveguide, mainly on the second-harmonic generation (SHG) device, has been carried out actively.1-3 Earlier theoretical works, however, have some drawbacks.
