Abstract

An integrated optical system that produces a flat-phase output wavefront, independent of phase and power variations along the input wavefront, is proposed for use at GaAs laser wavelengths. A basic module of this system is shown in Fig. 1. Development of optical antennas for efficient input and output coupling is in progress.¹ We report here the performance of the interferometer/phase-modulator feedback loop used to measure and correct the phase difference between adjacent outputs.
