Abstract

Recently intense research efforts have been made on the experimental realization of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) with low threshold currents and moderate output powers.1 To design the laser resonators with good electrical and optical properties, supportive simulation studies will be of much help.2,3
