Abstract

Numerical simulation of semiconductor laser diodes has been performed and reported for at least a decade [1]. As the development of high bit rate communications has progressed, interest has grown in mode-locked operation of the laser diode. Recently numerical simulations of mode-locked operation have been carried out [2]-[3].
