Silicon-on-Insulator Waveguide Bragg Gratings

Abstract

Grating based devices are attractive in dense wavelength division multiplexing systems, (DWDM). An alternative approach to fiber gratings can be based on silicon waveguides which can be fabricated successfully using SOI rib waveguides.
