Abstract

InGaAs/GaAs quantum dots (QDs) are very promising for extending the lasing wavelength of GaAs-based devices, including vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), edge-emitting lasers, and microcavity light emitting diodes, into the 1.0 µm to 1.3 µm wavelength range.
