Grating-Assisted Codirectional Coupler Filter Using an Electro-Optic Polymer

Abstract

We have proposed and demonstrated a wavelength selective filter based on grating- assisted forward coupling between an electro-optic (EO) polymer waveguide and a passive polymer waveguide. It can also be used as a fast tunable filter if the EO polymer is poled to have the EO effect.
