Ultrafast All-Optical Integrated Optic Switch Realized by Selective Area Multi-Quantum Well Disordering

Abstract

An integrated all-optical interferometric switch has been implemented using selective area disordering of a multiple quantum well structure. The device with an adjustable gate timing window had a switch contrast ratio of 9dB and the rise and fall times were around 2ps
