Abstract

As one of photonic crystal (PC) waveguide devices, a wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX/DEMUX) based on PC waveguide couplers is considered. A very small-sized two-channel MUX/DEMUX is demonstrated by using the finite element method (FEM).
