Quantum dots for ultrafast amplifiers

Abstract

The ultrafast gain dynamics measured with femtosecond resolution in InAs-based quantum dot amplifiers are presented. An ultrafast gain recovery of the dot ground-state transition under electrical injection is measured, promising for high-speed applications.
