Advances in PLC hybrid integration technology

Abstract

PLC hybrid integration technology allows the construction of a highly functional large-scale optical subsystem that is compact and inexpensive. This paper reviews recent advances in the hybrid integration of DFB-LDs, LiNbO3 waveguides, and electronic ICs, with PLCs.
