Fully-Integrated Planar-Waveguide Resonator Optics Based on Holographic Bragg Reflectors

Abstract

We demonstrate an integrated concentric Fabry-Perot resonator based on holographic Bragg reflectors. The cavity, fabricated in a low-loss silica-on-silicon slab waveguide using high-fidelity deep ultra violet photolitho-graphic fabrication, exhibits a reflectivity-limited Q-factor of approximately 105.
