Using Polarization in the Integration of Optoelectronic devices

Abstract

The development of integrated polarization converters permits the use of polarization for increasing the functionality of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). In this paper one example, active/passive integration based on manipulation of polarization, is presented.
