Abstract

The present paper has reviewed recent advances in Ge growth and devices on Si platform. The Ge growth without a post-growth annealing has been realized. The Ge photodetector reveals reduced dark current. Strain-engineering of Ge has been utilized to breakthrough not only photodetectors but modulators and light emitters.
