Efficient Parametric Gain at 1.55µm in a GaInP Photonic Crystal Waveguide

Abstract

We demonstrate efficient optical parametric amplification in 1.5mm long GaInP photonic crystal waveguides operating at 1.55µm. Owing to low linear and nonlinear losses we achieved a 10.6dB gain using 31ps, 800mW pump pulses.
