200ps compact tunable true-time delay line for microwave photonic applications

Abstract

Using the large group indices (vg < c/45) available in Photonic Crystal waveguides, a 200ps tunable true-time delay line is demonstrated over a 20GHz bandwidth. The total footprint of the device is about 1.5mm × 15μm.
