Nanoridge Surface Plasmon Waveguides

Abstract

Metal nanoridges can support well-confined propagating surface plasmon modes. Various geometries of silver nanoridges are investigated in this work. It is found that semicircular top nanoridges are optimal for supporting high figure-of-merit surface plasmon modes.
