FDTD Simulation of Passively Mode-Locked Lasers Using a Dynamic Saturable Absorption Model for Graphene

Abstract

A nonlinear rate equation is coupled with the FDTD method to incorporate the experimentally measured carrier lifetime and saturation intensity of graphene for modeling 100fs pulse generation. A one-dimensional Bragg cavity is analyzed.
