Silicon Nanophotonic Waveguide Modulator with Graphene Active Medium

Abstract

This work presents a nanophotonic modulator with a graphene active medium that is compatible with the silicon photonic platform. Using compact polarization rotators, the proposed device can be efficiently coupled with silicon nanowire waveguides.
