Fabrication Tolerant, Temperature Insensitive High-Q Nested Off-axis Microring Resonators

Abstract

We propose single-bus internally-coupled nested microring resonators which are fabrication tolerant and maintain ultra-high Q irrespective of the rings’ coupling conditions. The arrangement is highly-efficient in bio-sensing applications for broad ambient temperature range.
