Bacterial stress monitoring with a SOI optical microcavity

Abstract

We report on the on-chip real-time state monitoring of a single alive bacterium trapped with optical 1D microcavities. Through a two-laser setup, this label-free approach allows to monitor bacteria stressed by antibacterial agent (antibiotics, temperature).
