A Strong Pockels Effect in Integrated Photonic Circuits

Abstract

We enable a new class of electro-optic components based on a strong Pockels effect (>900 pm/V) in photonic integrated circuits. Integration concepts and examples of high-speed electro-optic modulators and ultra-low power tuning elements are discussed.
