Towards optical manipulation on a chip

Abstract

Hoovering of optical water using an optical tractor on an SPR excited sputtered gold (Au) surface is proposed and demonstrated. Direct visual observation, and measured by contact angle, shows accumulation of water towards optical light passing through a gold layered metal film.
