Phase-shifted waveguide Bragg gratings enabled by subwavelength grating structures

Abstract

We design and realize phase-shifted waveguide Bragg gratings using subwavelength grating structures in silicon-on-insulator. Transmission resonances with a quality factor of ~ 3.2× 104 and a reflection bandwidth of ~ 28 nm are obtained.
