Temperature Dependent Performance Analysis Near Critical Coupling : Microdisc versus Microring Resonators

Abstract

We observed significant differences in transmission characteristics between microdisc and microring resonators depending on operating temperatures. The resonance extinction of microdisc resonators near critical coupling is found to be highly temperature sensitive (30dB over 5K).
