Abstract

We report the success of our laser optical pumping experiment to produce and study anisotropy in gamma rays emitted in the nuclear decay of 85mRb. Figure 1 shows the 1.7% anisotropy signal obtained as the laser frequency is varied across the 85mRb D1. HF spectrum at 795 nm.
