Dynamic Properties of Phased-Array Multiple Quantum Well Injection Lasers

Abstract

We report on the fast pulse response of phase-locked multiple stripe, multiple quantum well (MQW), double heterostructure lasers. The time evolution, averaged over many pulses, of the spatially resolved near and far field radiation patterns was obtained. Real-time, single pulse, simultaneous measurements of the light from two adjacent stripes were also recorded. Relaxation oscillation frequencies were measured at two drive currents.
