Abstract

Ablative photodecomposition of organic materials by far-UV pulsed laser radiation is of great current interest because of the wide range of applications in materials Processing, The physical mechanism underlying UV photoablation is the subject of intense experimental investigation. Measurements of the type of fragment and of the energy dlstribution of the various ablation products are expected to provide deeper insight Into the mechanism.
