Abstract

Recently large area (50-mm2) thin (1-µm) films with low-surface scatter of PTS polydiacetylene bave been grown in our laboratory1 permitting determination of its degenerate third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility X(3) (ω) as a function of time and wavelength below and in the first allowed one- photon transition.
