Tunable IR-stimulated radiation: linked two-step hybrid excitation in the Na2-Na system

Abstract

We achieved two-step equal frequency hybrid excitation generating tunable IR stimulated electronic Raman scattering (SERS). By focusing the laser beam into the center of a heat-pipe oven from a YAG pumped dye laser with a tunable tuning range of 614.55–617.45 nm, one obtains excitation (including energy transfer) and the emission shown in Fig. 1.
